Australia Council for the Arts

The Australia Concil for the Arts is the Australian Government's arts funding and advisory board. The Australia Council collaborates to build new audiences, foster philanthropic support and deepen understanding of the arts through research. Through its Community Partnerships program, the Australia Council supports the community arts and cultural development (CACD) sector in a number of specific areas, including regional Australia, disability, young people, cultural diversity, emerging communities, Indigenous people, remote Indigenous communities and specific critical social and cultural issues requiring focused attention.

DADAA has been funded through the Australia Council's Key Producer category since 2007. In 2013, DADAA was awarded a further six years of Key Producer funding, along with 13 other CACD organisations.
